The objectives of this full-day seminar are:

  1. To provide an update on current clinical practices and integrative management of select conditions in Reproductive Medicine and Women's Health, including, Menopause, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), common gynecological malignancies as well as general fertility care.

  3. Provide acupuncturists with practical clinical knowledge on how acupuncture/ TCM can be integrated into the care of patients with the above-mentioned select conditions.

  5. Provide acupuncturists with insight on the role of acupuncture/TCM in optimizing pregnancy ratesand the future of integrative fertility care.

Dr. Dao, D.O.M, L.Ac., Ph.D, Dipl.C.H. is a Licensed Acupuncturist in the State of California and is a Diplomat of Chinese Herbology NCCA. Dr. Dao has been active in the TCM profession as well as professional organizations. He was an examiner for the California Acupuncture Committee and also participated in the Chinese Herbology Exam development for NCCA. Well known and respected for his special interest in reproductive and gynecological conditions.

Dr. Dao is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, Pacific Coast Fertility Society, and American Association of Oriental Medicine.

Dr. Lorne Brown is the Founder and Clinical Director of Acubalance Wellness Centre, the first Traditional Chinese Medicine clinic in British Columbia dedicated to reproductive health and fertility.

After a career as a Chartered Accountant (CPA), Lorne received his Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine at Vancouver’s International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Lorne has extensive postgraduate training in gynecology, obstetrics, and reproductive medicine. In 2012, Lorne published the Acubalance Fertility Diet which is made available for free through the Acubalance website.

Internationally known for his pioneering work as an educator and advocate for integrated fertility care, Lorne was the first Canadian to be a certified fellow of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine (ABORM).

Lorne has presented at fertility conferences and meetings throughout North America, including the 2012 annual meeting of the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society, the Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Canada (SOCG), and the Science Advisory Panel of Assisted Human Reproduction Canada (AHRC). He participates on numerous other boards and advisory panels as well, including the Quality Assurance Board of the British Columbia College of Traditional Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture (CTCMA), Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Program Advisory Committee for Kwantlen Polytechnic University and the PDA Advisory Panel for the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Dr. Brown is the Acupuncturist advisor to : Canada’s premier online fertility community.

Dr. Brown has successfully integrated his entrepreneurial skills and background as a CPA with his passion for Chinese Medicine establishing a very successful practice ( and pioneering online continuing education through Pro D Seminars and for the continued success of Chinese Medicine Practitioners world wide.

The latest addition to his bucket list is organizing the very first International Integrative Fertility Symposium in beautiful Vancouver British Columbia where he resides.

Brenda Strong is a 500 ERYT Yoga teacher, and pioneer in the field of Yoga for Fertility. She developed and taught an educational workshop, The Four Fields of Fertility, the foundation of the online course Soulful Conceptions. Her unique approach to Yoga has helped couples worldwide conceive since the year 2000. She holds an honorary doctorate from Yo San University for her inventive work using acupressure and yoga in her Fertility Ball Method, and creating Mind/Body programs like Breathe to Conceive, Yoga4Fertility, Yoga4Partners and Yoga4Pregnancy. Ms. Strong has taught at the Mind/Body Institute at UCLA and Newport Beach, founded StrongYoga4Women, produced and starred in an educational, empowering line of yoga DVDs to help women and couples face the stress of infertility. She has given key note speeches for TEDX Women, the American Heart Association, EMD Serono, and Fertility Clinics in California, New York and Florida. In 2005 she became the National Spokesperson for the American Fertility Association and was, through 2018, National Spokesperson for Path2Parenthood, the largest inclusive patient advocacy group for LGBTQ prospective parents. Two time EMMY-Nominated Brenda Strong is a two-time SAG/AFTRA Award-winning actress for her work as Mary Alice Young on the ABC hit series Desperate Housewives. She can currently be seen as Mrs. Walker in the upcoming season of 13 Reasons Why on Netflix and Is reprising her role as Lillian Luthor this season on Supergirl on the CW. She also just finished her short film directorial debut #3 Normandy Lane. Brenda is a proud advocate for Womenʼs Wellness and Mind/Body Wisdom and happy to be part of this forum.

Dr. Laraine Crampton has taught several Ni family qigong forms for twenty-three years. She considers qigong one of the most valuable self-care assets in her own life, as well as in the lives of her patients and students. She graduated from Yo San University in 1998, and completed Yo San’s DAOM in Healthy Aging in 2014. Dr. Crampton is Dean of the Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine program at Yo San, and a member of Yo San’s Qi Cultivation, academic and clinical faculties. Since 2006, she has directed and taught Clean Needle Technique courses/exams for the CCAOM for Southern California campuses. She is editor and co-author of Chinese Medical Herbology and Pharmacology, and series editor for Chinese Herbal Formulas and Applications and other texts from the Art of Medicine Press. Dr. Crampton has a private practice in Santa Monica.

Katherine Alexander Anderson, MBA, DACM, L.Ac. FABORM, is the current President of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine (ABORM), and is leading the organization to ensure patients worldwide receive care from the most highly skilled practitioners. With over 20-years experience in the healthcare industry including long term and sub-acute care and diagnostic laboratory clinical operations, Katherine has been on the forefront of delivering quality patient care for decades. Nationally board certified in acupuncture and oriental medicine and having worked extensively in western medicine, Katherine understands an integrated approach to healthcare. She has clinics in Maine and New Hampshire and has dedicated her practice exclusively to reproductive issues and women’s health.

She completed her Chinese medical school training at the New England School of Acupuncture where she studied Chinese acupuncture, Japanese acupuncture, and Chinese herbal medicine. She is board certified in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine (Dipl.OM) by the National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Management and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of New Hampshire. She completed her clinical doctoral studies at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine and is a PhD candidate with Shulan College and Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine. She is conducting research on the effects of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine on infertility and menstrual cycles. She is an international speaker and is passionate in educating women about the benefits of Chinese medicine and its profound effects on their cycles and overall health.

Denise Wiesner L.Ac., Dipl. Ac., founder of the Natural Healing and Acupuncture Clinic in West Los Angeles. She has a Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Kinesiology (UCLA), an Master of Arts in traditional Chinese medicine (Emperor's College), and is a certified sex coach. She is a member of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine (ABORM), and a charter member of the Fertile Soul: Clinical Excellence in Fertility program. Denise specializes in women’s health, sexuality, and fertility since 1994. Denise has taught professional seminars to medical doctors, OB/GYNs, and nurse midwives. In addition she is a professor in the doctoral program in Chinese Medicine, Fertility, and Women’s Health at Yo San University. She is also the author of the upcoming book, Conceiving with Love, A Whole Body Approach To Creating Intimacy, Reigniting Passion and Increasing Fertility.
