The key focus of this online course is to demonstrate how to use acupuncture point combinations to treat emotions associated with women’s/men’s health, including fertility. There has been a noticeable increase in patients seeking relief for anxiety and other mental health issues. Even if their main complaint is pain, they often disclose issues around sleep and/or feeling stressed, depressed, anxious in the first few sessions. Chinese medicine states that one of the primary causes of disease is from emotional imbalances, whether that be a severe acute attack or from chronic emotional turmoil. It is no surprise then that many of the conditions relating to women’s and men’s health have either an underlying emotional cause or the disease itself contributes to emotional imbalances.

In this online course we explore the interconnectedness between emotional imbalances and impaired fertility in men and women. We look at a selection of other disorders associated with women’s/men’s health and discuss acupuncture point combinations for:

  • Menopause, infertility (including men), labour induction and morning sickness – including Zàng Fǔ patterns and acupuncture point combinations/explanations.
  • Endometriosis and polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) – including Zàng Fǔ patterns and acupuncture point combinations/explanations.
  • Menstrual disorders of pre-menstrual tension or stress (PMT/PMS), amenorrhoea and dysmenorrhoea – including Zàng Fǔ patterns and acupuncture point combinations/explanations.
  • Manopause/Andropause, impotence, premature ejaculation and low libido (including women) – including Zàng Fǔ patterns and acupuncture point combinations/explanations.

Emotions will be analysed, along with a discussion on various acupuncture point combinations to create balance. We will further develop the concepts explored in this course through case study analysis. Referencing will also be thorough and relevant.
